We invite you and your loved ones to spend some time here at Hickory Nut Gap Farm. Available activities vary by season, but the farm is always open to visitors year-round.

Make a weekend of it, we are just 20 minutes away from Chimney Rock State Park, Lake Lure, Hickory Nut Gorge and Asheville, 30 minutes from Hendersonville and 45 minutes from Brevard. Come experience agriculture at our working farm, enjoy a delicious farm-to-fork lunch, and delight in the activities of the season.

VISIT THE FARM STORE & BUTCHERY

Visit the Farm Store & Butchery

We love local! Inside our farm store we carry a variety of local products; dairy, snacks, beverages, pickled goods, jams, honey, spices, arts and crafts, and more.  The perfect spot to shop local whether its for yourself or for a friend. Our in-house butchery also keeps the fresh and frozen coolers stocked with standard and specialty meat cuts, including grounds, bones, custom sausages, and deli cuts.

Have Lunch at the Deli & Bakery

With meat sourced from our farm, produce raised by our neighbors, and breads kneaded and baked on-site, enjoy a true farm-to-fork lunch with the cleanest quality ingredients you’ll find this side of the Mississippi. Lunch is served daily from 11am-4pm and brunch on Sundays begin at 10am.  Plus, every Friday, Steve the Baker makes fresh loaves of bread that are out-of-this-world.

There is always something going on at the farm.  Come join us for family-friendly fun all year round.  In the winter, our butchery and culinary team teach intimate classes on a variety of hands-on topics. The spring is full of fairies and baby animals.  Summer brings barn dances and festivals, while fall kicks off a season of festivities that have been a local tradition for families near and far.
