Perfect for entertaining! Make ahead and pop in the oven when you’re ready.
Breakfast Sausage Strata Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 oz. HNG Pasture Raised Breakfast Sausage
- 8 eggs
- 10 slices bread, cubed (10 cups)
- 3 c. Milk
- 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz)
- 2 c. sliced fresh mushroom (8 oz)
- ½ lb Asparagus (fresh of frozen – thawed and drained)
- 2 T. butter, melted
- 2 T. Flour
- 1 t. dry mustard
- 2 T. fresh basil or 2 t. dried basil
- 1 t. salt
Let’s Get Cooking:
Grease 13 x 9” baking pan. Brown sausage in pan on stove, drain excess grease. Beat eggs, add all remaining ingredients and mix. Pour into greased pan, cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Not a fan of mushrooms and/or aspargus? Add any veggies you like such as green onion, red pepper, and broccoli!
