The HNGF Education Project will continue the Hickory Nut Gap Farm
Horse Camp legacy and expand it to include equine therapy, outdoor
learning and agricultural education programs.
What will this look like:

• The HNGF Project will allow the already successful summer day camp
to offer this experience to an economically diverse group of children
through scholarships.

• Create an effective horse therapy program for veterans and others in the community. This program will have certified instructors to provide
horse-centered programs as a form of mental and physical therapy.

• Expand the community’s understanding of farming sustainability and
conservation by providing a place and a program for all ages.

• Create a hands-on youth outdoor education program by connecting
youth ages 8 to 18 to the land and each other through a safe yet less structured environment while learning important life skills without even
realizing it.
