Candice and Jacob Morgan met when Jacob was working for the North Carolina Cooperative extension.
The two married and began their family with the idea of starting a 1st generation farm in Trenton, NC. Jacob always had a strong passion for farming but never thought it was financially viable. However, through his experience at the NC Cooperative extension, the two decided to give it a shot with the idea that they would start small and continue expanding while remaining debt free. After searching for four years for the perfect land, they finally found their dream property and began raising livestock. Candice was the primary caregiver to the farm since she had chosen to stay home with their young children, Ella Paityn (4) and Juda (2). Both Candice and the children grew to love the farming lifestyle and are proud to have expanded their operation as the years have passed. Currently, Jacob and Candice raise hogs for Hickory Nut Gap.
