Jerry grew up in San Diego, and moved to Washington state at the age of 18.
He quickly grew an interest in cooking with a focus on fine dining, making his way up to a sous chef position before moving on to butchery. With his newfound love of butchery, he decided to pursue a career in the beef industry.
After moving from Seattle to Asheville with his wife in the beginning of 2019, he has thoroughly enjoyed the lifestyle and his new role at the Hickory Nut Gap Warehouse. His favorite part of working at HNG is the tight knit nature of the team. He also loves to interact with the customers and chefs who are a part of the HNG community.
He enjoys kayak fishing, fly fishing, hunting, camping, and exploring off road trails in national forests.
